AEP CUSTOMER MOBILE APP - FOR ANDROID & iOS
American Electric Power (AEP) wanted to add a more convenient channel to their customer omni-channel platform. This was the first mobile app adventure for AEP and in order to provide customers with a better experience, they decided doing a native app for both Android and iOS was the best approach. The main key functions are to check your outage status, to report an outage if you have one, to pay your bill, check your payment and billing activity and to understand your usage. While this was completed before the company’s new brand strategy was implemented, we are hoping to bring the app in line with our other digital customer properties soon.
Over 52,000 customers downloaded AEP’s new mobile app in only one month after its launch.
In 4 months, we had nearly 100,000 devices with our apps.
